WiFi on Campus
University of Bridgeport’s Network Team have been working hard to expand wireless internet coverage across campus in classrooms as well as in the dorms. IT had received reports about connectivity in North Hall specifically, and we’ve brought in additional hardware to address these concerns. Another area of concern has been connectivity and speed of the wireless access on the first floor of Wahlstrom Library, which we are currently investigating and resolving. Our Network team is continuing to expand our wireless coverage, with plans to improve coverage on the Garden Level of Wahlstrom Library in the coming months. Connectivity was a priority in the newly constructed University Hall, where we added antennas and boosters for Wi-Fi as well as cell phones with an aim towards wall to wall coverage. If you notice an area on campus where Wi-Fi coverage isn’t available or is slow, please put in a ticket with IT so that we can investigate.
